Sanghi Port, also known as Sanghipuram Port, is a captive industrial port located in Abdasa Taluka, Kutch, Gujarat, along the Gulf of Kutch. It was developed alongside the Sanghi Industries cement complex, commissioned in 2002. In 2023, Ambuja Cements (Adani Group) acquired a majority stake in Sanghi Industries, bringing the port and plant under its cement portfolio.
The Sanghipuram complex includes a 6.6 MTPA clinker plant, 6.1 MTPA cement plant, and a 143 MW captive power plant. The port mainly handles clinker exports through conveyor systems to coastal vessels, supplying grinding units in Gujarat, Kerala, and Maharashtra, along with exports to Middle East markets. It also imports coal and raw materials required for cement production.
Sanghi Port operates as an anchorage port, allowing flexible vessel handling based on weather conditions. After the Adani Group acquisition, expansion plans are underway to handle up to 8,000 DWT vessels and improve capacity.
