Ship Chandler and Marine Services in Paradip

Aasutosh Marine operates as a full service ship chandler in Paradip Port, covering all 18 berths and 3 Single Point Mooring (SPM) terminals of Paradip Port Authority (PPA), the RoRo jetty, captive berths operated by IFFCO, IOCL and private terminal operators, and the Paradip anchorage in the Bay of Bengal. We serve vessel operators, technical superintendents and fleet managers from shipping companies across Singapore, Greece, Japan, the UAE, China, South Korea and all maritime nations whose fleets carry thermal coal, coking coal, crude oil, iron ore, fertilisers and containerised cargo through this strategically located eastern India port in Jagatsinghpur district, Odisha.

Paradip Port Authority handled a record 150.41 million tonnes of cargo in FY 2024-25, the highest annual throughput among all Indian major ports, retaining the No.1 position for the second consecutive year. The port has a rated capacity of 289 MMTPA and achieved berth productivity of 34,283 MT per day per berth, also the best among Indian major ports. In FY 2025-26, PPA surpassed 150.22 MMT by 19 March 2026 with 12 days still remaining in the fiscal year, indicating another record year. Container cargo at Paradip grew 32% in the first eight months of FY 2025-26, steel cargo grew 35%, POL grew 31% and coal (about 45% of total volume) grew 3.76%. A ship supplier in Paradip Port operating within this throughput environment must have the inventory depth and logistics infrastructure to serve bulk carriers, tankers and container ships at all PPA facilities without delay.

With over 15 years of India-wide operations, we maintain full IMPA coded inventories for all vessel categories. Our ship chandling services at Paradip include bonded stores, deck and engine consumables, SOLAS safety equipment servicing, PSC compliance support, underwater hull cleaning Paradip, ship repair in Paradip Port and spares clearance services, all documented under our ISO 9001 certified process.

PPA policy requires vessels over 20 years old to be inspected at anchorage before acceptance, making pre-arrival preparation even more critical at Paradip. Our team coordinates rectification before the PSCO inspection at any PPA berth.

    Port overview

    About Paradip Port

Paradip Port is a deep-water artificial harbour located on the Bay of Bengal in Jagatsinghpur district, Odisha. Commissioned on 12 March 1966, it is operated by the Paradip Port Authority (PPA), a Government of India body. Strategically positioned midway along India’s eastern coast, about 6.5 nautical miles from the Mahanadi River mouth, the port is protected by two breakwaters and serves as a key maritime gateway. It is also a major employer in the region with around 750 permanent staff.

The port infrastructure includes 18 berths, three Single Point Mooring (SPM) terminals, and a RoRo jetty. Its deep channels allow large vessels up to 300 metres in length, while offshore SPM terminals handle very large crude carriers (VLCCs and ULCCs) up to 320,000 DWT. These SPMs, located about 20 km offshore, supply crude oil to IOCL through pipelines with a combined capacity of 37 MTPA. Paradip Port handles a wide range of cargo, including coal, crude oil, iron ore, fertilisers, and containers, with coal accounting for nearly 45% of total volume.

With a rated capacity of 289 MMTPA, Paradip Port has consistently ranked among India’s top-performing ports. It achieved record cargo throughput of 150.41 MMT in FY 2024–25 and continued strong performance in FY 2025–26. The port features advanced facilities like the Paradip International Cargo Terminal and supports major industries such as IOCL’s refinery and IFFCO’s fertiliser plant. Under its “Paradip Port 2.0” vision, plans are underway to expand capacity beyond 500 MMTPA through modernization, green hydrogen infrastructure, and a shipbuilding and repair cluster.
